August 15, the Independence Day is most loved nowadays not only because India got independence, but also for the fact that it is a government holiday!
As India celebrates their 72nd Independence Day, here are a few things you can do to celebrate.
1. ‘Be Independent’
If you live with your parents who do things for you, or with the wife who takes care of you, let them take rest for a day, and you take over. Cook for them, and do the other household works as well. You will enjoy being ‘independent’ though it’s boring initially.
2. Take your time off:
If you are working all day and night, this probably is the day to take a day off. Sleep as much as you can, stay indoors on your bed with those loose clothes. Believe me, this probably will be your best day.
3. Go, meet your friends:
If you and your friends work on a different time schedule, August 15th will be the day to meet them because it’s a national holiday. Yayy!
4. Binge Watch TV:
When was the last time you watched Television for a long time like you used to do during your childhood?
Well, today is the day. With loads of shows on television, binge-watch!
5. Well, show some patriotism!
OK. OK. This should have been the first point. Yes, it’s Independence Day. If you are in and around Delhi, go attend the parade and the flag hoisting. I’m sure you will regret if you miss it out.
