With no doubts, she is the darling of masses. Anushka Shetty, who turns a year older today has given us some memorable performances and is one of the superstars in the south industry.

Starting her career with ‘Super’ in 2005, Anushka Shetty despite giving us hits, Arundati was the movie that made heads turn. The movie not only won many accolades but also became a nation-wide hit.

While the actress then went on to do some good roles in both Tamil and Telugu, including Singam franchise, her next big role was Vedam/ Vaanam, where she played the role of sex worker. The movie did not win many hearts but her role certainly did.

Anushka as Anuradha in the Deivathirumagal was another super lovable role. Yes, Vikram and Baby Sarah stole the show, but one cannot ignore Anushka’s performance.

Bahubali 1 and 2

After having some mixed years with both Tamil and Telugu, possibly the most powerful role came with Bahubali. Both the parts of Bahubali made Anushka Shetty a superstar. Her role as Devasena will stay with us forever.

After Bahubali, Anushka had Rudhramadevi became her next big hit and Anushka’s performance was well-received once again. The movie helped Anushka to win eight awards.

Size Zero

The movie Size Zero demanded Anushka to gain a lot of weight and the actress did. The actress did steal the show with her efforts. Though the movie did not comparatively do well in the box office, this is definitely a memorable role of Anushka Shetty, thanks to the efforts.

Her latest, Bhaagamathie was a blockbuster too. With Bhaagamathie, Anushka Shetty emerged the second Indian actress after Sridevi to have a $1 Million grosser at the USA Box Office.

The actress then was seen in cameos before taking a break from cinema for months. Now, the actress is working for her next, Nisabdham which is a tri-lingual movie.
