Sarkar story theft controversy: AR Murugadoss accepts the plagiarism?

A few days back, A filmmaker named Varun Rajendran approached the Madras High Court, complained that the story of Sarkar was stolen from his story ‘Sengol’ which he registered with the association in 2007. The court ordered the South Indian Writers Union and the makers of Sarkar to respond to the matter.

After reading the script of both the movies, the head of the union, K. Bhagyaraj released a 9-page report telling that both the stories are ‘99% similar.

However, AR Murugadoss refused the accusation. Today, the hearing took place in the High Court and it is said that AR Murugadoss accepted that the story belongs to Varun Rajendran and also agreed that the credits, compensation will be given to the latter.

With the issue being solved, the movie will release on Diwali as expected.
