On the account of International Day of Persons with Disabilities, The Headway Foundation in association with Hindustan Institute of Technology and Science and Y’s Men International OMR presented their flagship event, Rendezvous.
Along with the chairpersons, the Chief Guest, Dr Kamal Haasan handed over a cheque of Rs.6,00,000 to Tamil Nadu’s Wheelchair Basketball Federation sponsored by Dr K. C. G. Verghese Charitable Foundation.
He also launched The Headway Foundation annual calendar featuring 12 aspiring differently-abled people.
Actor, Goodwill Ambassador- The Headway Foundation, Ashok Balakrishnan launched the first short film by visually impaired person- “Idhuvum Saadhiyam”.
Apart from this, There were Ramp walks, Pep talks, and as a tribute to Kamal Haasan, a differently-abled team performed a medley of his songs.
