There were rumours that Rajinikanth had approached director Karthik Subbaraj and asked him to direct a movie for his son-in-law Vishagan Vanangamudi, who recently tied the knot with Soundarya Rajinikanth. Vishagan is a businessman with a keen interest in cinema. He even made his acting debut with the movie Vanjagar Ulagam, which failed at the box office.
Now, when a Tamil daily asked about the rumours to Karthik Subbaraj, the director has said that there is not even one per cent truth to the reports. Karthik said that Rajinikanth never approached him with such a request and he is currently busy with the works of his upcoming film with actor Dhanush.
Rajinikanth and Karthik Subbaraj teamed up for Petta, which turned out to be a huge hit at the box office. It is still rumoured that Rajinikanth might again team up with Karthik Subbaraj for a movie before her ventures into politics.
