Oviya had won our hearts in the first season of the reality show Big Boss two years ago. She will be seen next in a Malayalam film Black Coffee helmed by Baburaj. Oviya feels like a newbie in Mollywood as Nobody knows her there.
Oviya reveals that she plays a model in the movie and the film is a love story that describes her struggles in pursuit of making a mark in the industry. It also shows her relationship issues. The 90 ml fame says she picked this M-Town project as she knew Baburaj for years. She mentions Mollywood is very different from the Tamil industry when it comes to the warmth of its people. Everyone is friendly, and they treat everyone like a family member, not an actress.
The work schedules are also different. The Malayalam industry works from 9 am to 9 pm, while the crew would pack up by 6 pm in Tamil. Oviya has been staying away from her home in Thrissur for about 10 years and is living in Chennai.
She prefers to live in Kerala as things there are different. Oviya says she doesn’t plan anything in advance and takes life one day at a time. But, she is sure that she wants to be in her native place for a while. She misses her friends and homely food and feels Kerala is a great place to settle.
