It took us eight years to be at the same point: Samantha opens up about her marriage

Samantha and Naga Chaitanya are considered as one of the ideal couples in Tollywood. The couple, after several years of courtship, walked down the aisle in October 2017 in Goa.

In a recent interview, the Majili actress revealed that it took them eight years to be in the same headspace. Elaborating more about it, Samantha said, “It took us eight years to be at the same point. Because there were times when I really liked him and he was not in that space. And there were times when we wanted to work it out, but external factors. It took us a very long time to be in the same space.”

Samantha, in the past, has opened up about her relationship with her husband Naga Chaitanya and the thought of having a baby with him.

During one of the interviews, Samantha revealed that her anger levels are in check after her marriage. She said, “After my marriage, I was able to control my anger levels. No matter how big our fight is, we casually sit next to each other and talk it out. People who would see us would not even realise that we are having a fight. It would just seem like just another conversation we have. And our decibel levels never increase beyond a limit.”

The Super Deluxe actress also revealed that she and Naga Chaitanya have ‘fixed a timeline for having a baby.’ Opening up about their choice, she exclaimed, “When I have a child, that child is going to be my universe. I had the greatest respect for working mothers. My childhood was not very rosy. For all adults, who haven’t had a very rosy childhood, the first thing they will tell you is that they want to give their child everything that they did not have. That’s something that has stuck with me. So I think the first few years after I have a child, I would not be anywhere. That child will be everything for me.”
