India's first and only magazine to get into India Book Of Records and Asia Book Of Records

India create history by winning a fifth straight SAFF women championship!

The Indian women continued their dominance in the SAFF Women Championships as they defeated Nepal in the finals of the tournament to clinch their fifth consecutive title.

The win extends India’s unbeaten run in the tournament’s history to 23 games as goals from Dalima Chhibber, Grace Dangmei and substitute Anju Tamang saw India lift the trophy in front of a partisan crowd at the Sahid Rangashala Stadium.

The highlight of the match was the goal from Chhibber where she scored from nowhere.

The match was intense right from the word go and Nepal tried their best.

Towards the end, Nepal threw everything they had at the Indian defence but they stood firm. Sabitra and Renuka Nagarkote threatened to halve the deficit but could not get past Aditi in goal as India romped to a fifth SAFF trophy in a row.
