Dhawan set to return to Delhi Daredevils?

According to the reports in Cricinfo, Shikhar Dhawan is all set to return to the team where he started his IPL career, Delhi Daredevils in exchange of three players.

The Indian opener played for the Delhi Daredevils in 2008 then went on to play for Mumbai Indians for two years before landing into Hyderabad. First, the Deccan Chargers followed by Sunrisers Hyderabad.

During the 2018 IPL, Shikhar Dhawan was not retained by the Sunrisers, but the team bought him back using RTM card for 5.2 Crores. Reportedly, Dhawan was not happy with the money and was willing to leave despite having a three-year deal.

Now, the Delhi team will release all-rounder Vijay Shankar (Rs 3.2 crore), left-arm spinner Shahbaz Nadeem (Rs 3.2 crore) and rookie Abhishek (Rs 55 lakh). Since the release amount is more than the trading amount for Dhawan, Hyderabad will pay the rest of the amount in cash to the Daredevils.

Earlier, Royal Challengers Bangalore traded Quinton de Kock to the Mumbai Indians for money. Another trade once again involved RCB once again where the team released Mandeep Singh to Kings XI Punjab in exchange to the all-rounder Marcus Stoinis.
