Tell us about creating an identity to Kaapidaw and did you expect this kind of a response?

Kaapidaw started off when friends and relatives started asking me for recipes of the meals I posted on Instagram. From sending them a text recipe I decided to put them in a blog which could reach everyone at any time. The response I have now is definitely unexpected.

Tell us about your love for food and cooking?

If love is made visible, then it is through food. The love and passion for food and cooking have been there ever since I was a kid. This has slowly evolved into something undetachable. I relate my emotions with my food. To me, cooking is not just a way to a man’s heart but to everyone’s heart.

I have believed that we eat food with all the senses. Good food should relate with good plating, smell, feel and taste but when it comes to food blogging, what matters the most is how visually appealing the food looks. Your colloquial hashtags are undoubtedly a hit, from naming your page as #kaapidaw to your #lunchdabbadaw & #Fullmealsdaw series- how did you come up with this and how happy are you with its reach?

Kaapidaw means south Indian filter coffee plus daw, Here, the word daw is a colloquial expression to add some energy. I followed the same for full meals and lunchbox series and I am very happy about how it has reached people.

Tell us about your style of blogging?

I try to keep my style of blogging as simple and straight forward as possible so that it could be relatable to many. I generally follow the “Keep It Simple” principle in the recipes that I share in both Instagram and in the blog.

Your message to fellow bloggers and followers?

It has been a journey of continuous learning for me from which I have learnt to never feel shy to try new things. And I personally believe not to follow trends but to create one someday. To put it in one statement I would go with “Be authentic and be yourself” •
