‘A man urinated in my mouth’: Vijay Sethupathi

Vijay Sethupathi has become one of the prominent names of Tamil Cinema and year after year the actor is getting better. 2018 is one of the peak years for him and with Petta is already on cards, he is going to rock the floors for sure.

But his life isn’t easy as one could think. He had to do a lot of character roles before becoming a hero.

In a recent interview, he said, ” I remember this film called Varnam; that was the first time I got a chance to play a character artiste. I played a character who comes from a less privileged section of society and the first sequence had someone urinating in my mouth. I finished acting it out, and the entire unit clapped. It was overwhelming because that was the first time I realised I could act. I kept telling myself that everyone in the unit — from the director to the lightman — had jobs only because I was acting”.

The struggles made Vijay Sethupathi the actor he is now.
