’96 fame lyricist Karthik Netha accuses Vairamuthu of Plagiarism

The lyricist Karthik Netha is one of the latest sensations, thanks to ‘Kaadhaley Kaadhaley..’ from the movie ’96. The lyricist has gained a good reputation in the recent times which he deserved for years.

Recently, Karthik Netha spoke in an FM interview that the lyricist wrote ‘Sara Sara Saara Kaththu..’ from ‘Vaagai Sooda Vaa’ along with Poraney Poraney.

Since it was Karthik Netha’s first song, director Sargunam sought the help of Vairamuthu to arrange the lyrics as per the music. Once Vairamuthu set it right, the song was credited to him.

The posts further say that Karthik Netha apparently chose to remain quiet since he was in the early days of his career and so was the music composer Ghibran.

After the interview went viral, the lyricist refused to give an interview regarding this to any newspaper. When contacted by DT Next, the lyricist said that ‘I have been receiving calls from the morning and to be frank, I’m out of the city and I don’t know what it is all about. I did give a couple of interviews recently and I’m not sure how it got conveyed to the public. In fact, I don’t even remember what I spoke. I am not denying or accepting anything. This is not the right time to talk about it. I will come back to the city and then give a statement” he said.
